About Mike Lutynski
As a consulting forensic electrical engineer, I specialize in the analysis of highly complex technical issues for insurers and attorneys. My expertise spans various fields, including computer and mobile phone forensics, patent infringement, product liability, and equipment failure analysis. I have extensive experience with high-tech microchip equipment, heavy manufacturing machinery, and medical equipment malpractice.
I am a military veteran with a diverse and well-traveled background. My professional journey has led me to collaborate with a wide range of clients, including insurance companies, legal firms, accountants, engineers, and security providers both in the United States and internationally.
My strong foundation in hardware microprocessor design and computer software provides the basis for conducting in-depth forensic investigations into all types of hi-tech devices, electromechanical factory machinery, and consumer product failures, often addressing claims against manufacturers and service providers.
My seventeen years in Hong Kong included extensive international travel and working with diverse foreign clients that significantly honed my ability to navigate unexpected challenging situations while solving complex problems.
As a licensed private investigator in Massachusetts I am also a long-time EnCase user and an Oxygen Forensics Certified Examiner, skilled at extracting and processing digital evidence from computers and mobile devices.
The beautiful western Massachusetts Berkshires provide the backdrop for my balanced lifestyle. This lifestyle combines professional work with active community involvement, including advising the town council’s financial planning committee. As a glider pilot, I am actively involved in the soaring community, serving on the board of directors of my soaring club.
I also enjoy a mix of recreational activities, from the precision of golfing and billiards to the outdoor pursuits of kayaking, flying acrobatic RC model airplanes, and drone photography. But, at the end of the day, I truly enjoy a workout cutting and splitting firewood for my stove and fireplace.
